Introduce Youth to the Basics of Banking and Borrowing
YOUR MONEY’S WORTH™ is a money
management program that gives youth essential information
about managing their finances and an appreciation for financial
goal setting. The program can be delivered to schools and
youth groups in your community. Modules include: Money
Basics, Using Your Money and Saving & Borrowing.
The credit union YOUR MONEY’S WORTH™
kit include:
- Comprehensive Facilitator’s Guide
- Student Guide
- PowerPoint Presentation
- Sample Copy of Budgeting Workbook*
- Brochures promoting YOUR MONEY’S WORTH™
to schools and youth groups
- CD containing all materials enabling customization for
your credit union.
The program is based on an instructor participation style.
This means the credit union will assume the role of “instructor”
for the presentation. Information is provided in a structured
manner:
- Asking questions and ensuring active participation through
discussion
- Workbook exercises
- Technology
- Role play demonstrating loan application process
Credit Unions may wish to break the program up and deliver
separate sessions by module as total delivery time is approximately
4 hours.
A condensed modified version of YOUR MONEY’S
WORTH™ is also available. Time required to
delivery the modified version is approximately 2 hours.
*The Budgeting Workbook is not included
on the CD. Workbooks are available from Credit Union Central
of Canada.
